In this promotion video, our team come together to produce a visually and intellectually stimulating portrayal of Schwalbe’s exploration of livelihood and “work”. Through a series of introspective reflections and imagery, we challenge the audience to explore the dimensions of their own work and daily existence.

Lucas De Man uses the pig and the pig world as a metaphor for our current changing world, and his quest for his own part in it.

This project was a labor of love for our team. We registered a 6-hour performance, capturing every moment of the immersive experience. In addition to delivering the long registration video, we curated a condensed 12-minute highlights reel specifically designed to captivate programmers and showcase the essence of the performance, honouring the fluidity and its exploration of time.
In ‘Schwalbe Performs a Time,’ time is not merely a concept but a tangible force that shapes our perceptions and experiences. The theatre collective invites audiences to immerse themselves in a world where time is fluid, allowing for moments of introspection, exploration, and transformation. Viewers are encouraged to embrace the present moment and engage fully in the unfolding narrative of time.

From the euphoria of collective moments at concerts, pilgrimages, or demonstrations to the underlying fear of the crowd’s uncontrollable power, this performance delves deep into the complexities of individual and collective behavior. It examines how crowds can evoke both a sense of belonging and a fear of chaos, highlighting the tension between unity and vulnerability.

Collaboration with Dansateliers 2007 – 2009,
The partnership with Dansateliers involved capturing the essence of their regular dance performances through video registrations and designing promotional audiovisual material such as DVDs and trailers. Dansateliers’ creative hub in Rotterdam is dedicated to supporting research projects and production development for talented choreographers.
